About This Role:

The Software Engineering Associate 3 supports the Networks unit by contributing to routine software engineering activities. The role involves collaborating within cross-functional squads, assisting in creating technical solutions, and executing tasks aligned with BT’s engineering roadmap and commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing technical solutions for customers and colleagues and help resolve inter-system issues.
  • Perform technical reviews to continually update knowledge of software engineering practices.
  • Assist in designing technical specifications and developing software solutions for smaller or less complex initiatives.
  • Conduct routine coding activities, including writing, testing, refining, and rewriting code under supervision.
  • Support integration of existing software products, enabling interoperability between different platforms.
  • Help maintain systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.
  • Contribute to implementing new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems.
